Aramark

David Rhoden currently serves as the Global Director of HR Reporting and Analytics for Aramark, a food, facilities and uniforms service provider operating in 21 countries around the world. In his role David is responsible for delivering workforce insights about Aramark’s 270,000 employees to enable organizational growth and productivity.

Born in the West Indies David immigrated to the United States with his parents at a very young age and grew up in West Philadelphia attending Philadelphia public schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. He graduated from Swenson Arts and Technology High School before going on to attend college at The Pennsylvania State University (main campus) where he acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Science from the Smeal College of Business. Upon graduation he accepted a position with The ACE Group (now Chubb Ltd), a multi-national insurance company where he worked closely with senior management supporting the financial and actuarial reporting operations.

One year after joining ACE, David decided to put his career on hold to pursue a calling to serve the needs of others on a full-time basis. He dedicated the next year to helping address the dropout crisis by serving as full-time tutor and mentor to Philadelphia public school students with City Year Incorporated, a national education non-profit organization. He later joined the City Year staff helping to manage the volunteer program and supporting local site operations including fundraising and external relations. While on staff David enjoyed spearheading strategic initiatives, developing the skills of his team members and providing 1-on-1 coaching support. During this time, David gained a new awareness of his abilities and interests which greatly influenced his decision to pursue a career in human resources.
At the end of 2010 David returned to the private sector with a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to incorporating his passion for people into his career. He enrolled in a Master’s program at Saint Joseph’s University and completed a degree in Organizational Development and Leadership. Since receiving his degree David has worked on a number of large-scale HR initiatives leveraging data and analytics to improve the employee experience and enable organization effectiveness.

When not working David enjoys volunteering his time with several non-profit organizations including Raising a Generation of Hope (RAGOH), a local non-profit focused on advocating for educational equality for girls in the developing world and City Year Philadelphia, an education based non-profit seeking to end the national dropout crisis through citizen service and civic leadership.
