Amy Criss is the Director of WBE (Women Business Enterprise) Business Development for the largest privately held building material supplier, 84 Lumber Company, headquartered in 84, PA just south of Pittsburgh. As Director of WBE Business Development, Amy manages many different Women Business Enterprise certifications across the country, including their WBENC national certification. In this role, not only does Amy work closely with the traditional 84 stores, but also works with the 84 Energy Supply Division, a top supplier offering companies operating in the Energy field, including the Marcellus Shale footprint, a reliable, competitive and expert source for safety, remediation, building supplies and housing.
Amy has provided a wide range of expertise to 84 Lumber. She joined the company in 2001 as a Senior Financial Analyst to the CFO assisting in a diverse range of financial analytics helping to shape the company’s growth. In 2004 she was promoted to the Human Resource department and quickly climbed the ranks to Director of HR where she led the Payroll, Benefits and HRIS departments.
Following this assignment Amy was asked to assist the company in many diversified roles helping to positively position the company, including managing Legal Collections and Expense & Efficiencies Audits before taking her current position.
In 2006 Amy was award the prestigious George T. Handyside award for her exceptional work at 84 Lumber Company. Amy is very active in many organizations including but not limited to:
A graduate of California University of PA, with a BS in Math and Computer Science, Amy has been active in promoting Science, Technology and Math by tutoring and encouraging students of all ages.
